Christian Ribeiro

My inspiration for creating this venture stemmed from the desire to merge my extensive experience in both the hospitality and cannabis industries, thereby providing our clients with the best of both worlds. With 17 years of expertise in hospitality and over 3 years in the cannabis sector, we are committed to offering our clients an engaging, educational, and enjoyable experience, all while catering to the diverse needs and preferences of their guests.

My personal journey with cannabis began in 2010 when I was diagnosed with a precancerous condition, which led to numerous surgeries and a significant lifestyle transformation. I can confidently assert that cannabis played a pivotal role in helping me navigate that challenging period, and for that, I am immensely grateful. At Barcanna, our mission is not only to destigmatize cannabis but also to reintroduce it to our clients in a professional and educational context, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for its benefits.

Brand and Marketing Manager

Marcela Betancurth

At BarCanna, I lead the execution of marketing initiatives, ensuring seamless delivery and impactful results. I maintain excellent relationships with marketing brand leaders, fostering collaboration and alignment with our goals.

I work closely with the BarCanna team to educate them about the brands we represent, ensuring that at marketing activations in New York and New Jersey, the message each brand wants to convey is executed accurately and effectively.

Additionally, I customize digital and printed creative templates, tailoring them to meet specific event needs. My role also includes providing detailed recaps of marketing initiatives and events, identifying areas of opportunity, offering constructive feedback, and recommending strategies for improvement and growth.

Beyond these responsibilities, I manage BarCanna's social media channels and website, ensuring a cohesive online presence and engaging content that resonates with our audience.

Hello, my name is Tommy Ferrence, also known as Tommy Terps by my customers. I have a true passion for cannabis and education in cannabis. I’m a Professional Interpener, certified Cannabis Consultant with certifications in Extractions and Concentrates Fundamentals, and Cannabis for All. I attended Trichome Institute for my education in Cannabis.

WHY CANNABIS?

have over 18 years of experience in the emergency medical field as an EMT. I combine my medical knowledge, my cannabis knowledge, and my own anecdotal experiences to help guide the cannabis exploration phase for medical patients and adult consumers alike. I teach aroma perception (predicting psychotropic effects of cannabis) and how consumption equals function. I believe in improving the quality of life through the power of cannabis!

Hey my name is Jesus Vazquez. When I began to look at cannabis in a helpful matter other than the social aspect; my love for the plant grew. From reducing my anxiety, stimulating my creative side to make music or decompressing when the day is done.

There is still a stigma toward marijuana but it’s slowly declining thanks to the further research within the years. This herb is a great tool once we learn its compounds. It’s always my goal to educate those so they can spread the knowledge onto others. Smoke with intention and not just "to get high".

Education is key to shifting perceptions and creating a more informed, compassionate approach to cannabis.

Hey beautiful people!! My name is Jocelyn! I’ve been a professional makeup artist for 4 years and when I’m not with clients, I’m having the best time here at BarCanna. Having worked in the industry for nearly 3 years, and being a passionate advocate for cannabis, my journey began as an ordinary girl who enjoyed the effects of smoking weed.

However, my career in the industry transformed that experience into something deeper—an opportunity to educate and guide others through a unique cannabis journey. Working with BarCanna has allowed me to support and educate others through their experience, combining my love for helping people with my passion for the plant.
